Brenda Spencer School Shooting Soil Sample (4x6 Framed Display)
On the morning of January 29, 1979, 16-year-old Brenda Spencer opened fire on Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego, California, from her home across the street. Armed with a .22 caliber rifle, she killed principal Burton Wragg and custodian Mike Suchar while injuring eight children and a police officer. When asked why she committed the shooting, Spencer infamously responded, “I don’t like Mondays. This livens up the day.” The tragedy became one of the first high-profile school shootings in American history, sparking nationwide discussions on gun violence and mental health.
This is a 4x6 inch framed sample of soil collected from the site of Brenda Spencer’s home, where the shooting took place.
